Women’s History Month: Aimee Carrero

For Women’s History Month, we will be talking about Aimee Carrero.

Aimee Carrero is a new face that I have being seeing on television. Her name has also been coming up a lot too within the television industry. I saw her in small roles in some movies but the television show I first saw her in was Young and Hungry. She plays Sofia which is the roommate to Gabi the main character. I think Aimee Carrero is a great part of the cast and is the perfect person to play Sofia.

Acting in Young and Hungry isn’t the reason why we are talking about her. Aimee Carrero is the voice of Elena of Avalor. Elena is the first Latina princess for Disney and is a great role for Aimee. This is a show that is currently on Disney. I am hoping that a Disney movie will come out of this because that is long over due. I think her career is just getting started and we will see a lot more from her.

There are some amazing women doing amazing things in this industry. They are making a difference and paving the way for future generations. I just wanted to take time to thank them and celebrate their accomplishments.

Please comment below if there are any other women in the television that should be recognized for their role. And The Show Must Go On.

Women’s History Month: Ashley Tisdale

Continuing with women’s history month, let us talk about Ashley Tisdale.

Many may know her from High School Musical or even Suite Life of Zack and Cody. She also was a voice for Phineas and Ferb and played on a show call Hellcats, which only lasted a couple seasons. There are other things she have played on in the past couple of years but that is not all she has done. Ashley Tisdale is one of my favorite girl bosses at the moment. She is a producer of the show Young and Hungry which is doing very well. She has a Youtube channel that has been successful too. She also has her own makeup collection called Illuminate.

One thing I like about Ashley Tisdale is that she is making a name for herself outside the acting world. I like how she is doing a lot of different things and is doing well with all of them. It just shows how talented she is and how much of a girl boss she is. She is truly an inspiration and girl boss goals.

There are some amazing women doing amazing things in this industry. They are making a difference and paving the way for future generations. I just wanted to take time to thank them and celebrate their accomplishments.

What Up! What Up! What Up!

I have to admit the first time I saw the promos for this show, I thought it would be bad. It looked corny and like it wasn’t worth my time. Why did I decide to watch it you ask? Well, Drew Barrymore was in it and I absolutely love her so I decided to check it out.

After watching the first season, I have to say that I did enjoy this show. It was funnier than I thought it would be. Lets just say my first impressions were wrong about the show. It wasn’t bad like I assumed, it was actually enjoyable to watch.

If you have never heard of this show, it is a Netflix Original. Drew Barrymore plays a woman named Sheila who is a wife, mother, and real estate agent. She suddenly becomes a zombie and her family’s life completely changes. During the show the family tries to deal with this new reality and try to figure out how she got this way and how to fix it.

If you are on the fence about the show, I say try the 1st episode and see how you like it. If you like Drew Barrymore as an actress, than you might enjoy this show also. Let me know what you like about the show in the comments below. Please like this post if you enjoyed it And The Show Must Go On.

Black History Month: Jessie Williams

Hey Everybody!

Today I will be talking about Jessie Williams. I absolutely love him and he is not bad looking either. I first saw Jessie Williams acting in the movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. He was Lena’s other guy in her life during that movie. He is now well known for his role on Grey’s Anatomy as Jackson Avery. His acting is amazing but he doing more off screen also.

He is an activist for Black rights. He produced the documentary Stay Woke: The Movement for Black Lives Matter. The film follows the lives of young people pushing the needle and pushing the movement forward. He isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in and that is something that can’t be ignored. He even won the BET Humanitarian Award for all the work he has been doing. I just want to say thank you to Jessie Williams for all he is doing.

If you like this post, please give it a like below and as always the show must go on.

This is one of the couples that you never saw coming. Once they fell for each other it was hard not to like them.

12. Jane and Michael – Jane The Virgin

I decided to put this couple in as a tribute. They were always so cute together and Michael never stopped loving her.

11. Zoe & Wade – Hart of Dixie

The Big Day

This couple is the definition of opposites attract. Neither of them thought that their journey would lead to marriage and a baby, but I loved it.

10. Emily & Richard – Gilmore Girls

Black History Month: Aja Naomi King

What Up! What Up! What Up!

I don’t know about you guys but I absolutely love Aja Naomi King. I think she is so pretty and is just amazing. You may know her from the show How To Get Away With Murder. She plays Michaela Pratt one of the law students that work for Annalise Keating. This was the first role that I saw her in and I think she is amazing. When someone is in a Shonda Rhimes production then you know they are good. You also might know her from a movie called The Birth of a Nation where she played Cherry. She is one of those celebrities that isn’t afraid to share what she believes in. She also supports her fellow actress and actor friends in other roles they may receive.

This is only the beginning of her career that we are seeing. If you follow her on social media, you will see how much she cares about different rights and stands for things that she believes in. I honestly love her as an actress and hope one day that I will be able to meet her. Her representation in television is not overlooked. We need all races and cultures represented in television to show everyone that they matter.

Please give this post a like if you enjoyed it and please comment below on other actors or actresses that you love. And The Show Must Go On.

Black History Month: Mahershala Ali

I recently watched Luke Cage on Netflix and loved it. A character that I thought was portrayed was Cottonmouth played by Mahershala Ali. I thought his acting for this character was on point and I couldn’t get enough. He appeared on things like House of Cards and the Hunger Games Mocking jay Part 2.

He recently won his first SAG award for his performance in Moonlight. When receiving this award, he gave a speech about the role he played and how it affected him. He talked about inclusion and acceptance of all. His speech was moving and I was almost in tears. I am so happy he won a SAG award and I know this isn’t the last that we will see of him. He is one of those faces that you will continue to see on screen. I am excited to see what he will do next.

I want to say thank you to Mahershala Ali for your speech and your presence on television. Seeing representation of all cultures and people in television is important and influential to the people who watch it.
